PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological observation system capable of reducing a burden of an operator in diagnosing a lesion.SOLUTION: The biological observation system is provided with: an illumination light generation part that irradiates a subject with illumination light for obtaining an observation image of the subject and oxygen saturation information indicating the magnitude of an oxygen saturation degree an imaging part that receives light from the subject and generates an imaging signal of the subject an observation image generation part that generates the observation image of the subject on the basis of the imaging signal and outputs the observation image to a display device an oxygen saturation information acquisition part that acquires oxygen saturation information on the subject on the basis of the imaging signal a determination part that determines, on the basis of the oxygen saturation information, whether or not a low oxygen area, which is an area where the magnitude of the oxygen saturation degree is less than a threshold, is present in an image obtained by imaging the subject and a notification processing part that notifies, when a determination result that there is the low oxygen area is obtained by the determination part, of a low oxygen state along with the output of the observation image from the observation image generation part to the display device.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】病変の診断の際の術者の負担を軽減可能な生体観察システムを提供する。【解決手段】生体観察システムは、被写体に対して、被写体の観察画像と、酸素飽和度の大きさを表す酸素飽和度情報と、を取得するための照明光を照射する照明光発生部と、被写体からの光を受光し、被写体の撮像信号を生成する撮像部と、撮像信号に基づき、被写体の観察画像を生成して表示装置へ出力する観察画像生成部と、撮像信号に基づき被写体の酸素飽和度情報を取得する酸素飽和度情報取得部と、酸素飽和度情報に基づき、被写体を撮像して得られた画像内に、酸素飽和度の大きさが所定の閾値未満の領域である低酸素領域が存在するか否かを判定する判定部と、判定部により低酸素領域が存在するとの判定結果が得られた際に、観察画像生成部から表示装置への観察画像の出力に併せて低酸素状態である旨を報知する報知処理部と、を有する。【選択図】図1
