The present invention provides a sunscreen in powder form comprising (i) vegetable oil vegetable butter wax or mixture thereof wherein vegetable oil vegetable butter and wax are present in a total amount of from 1 to 25% by weight of the sunscreen (ii) one or more UV absorbing materials wherein UV absorbing material is present in an amount of from 10 to 40% by weight of the sunscreen and (iii) one or more UV reflecting materials wherein UV reflecting material is present in an amount of from 30 to 85% by weight of the sunscreen (iv) one or more anti caking agents wherein anti caking agent is present in an amount of from 5 to 25% by weight of the sunscreen.
