A system and method for measuring impedance of one or more of multiple leads in an electrocardiogram (ECG). Systems and methods include applying multiple leads to a patient's body, applying multiple impedance pads to the patient's body, and providing burst pulses from catheter electrodes of an ECG. Of the impedance pad and the plurality of leads, and determining an impedance for the one or more leads from the measured impedance signal. The plurality of impedance pads includes a first axis from the patient's right chest to the patient's left side, a second axis from the patient's upper chest area to the patient's lower abdominal area, and the patient's back center to the patient's back area.
