Method for producing a self-adhesive surgical dressing. The surgical dressing consists of a rubber provided with a protective layer which has to be removed before use. The rubber material adheres to itself and not to the skin. Such a surgical dressing can be obtained according to the invention by starting from rubber provided with a cover layer. A sheet of such rubber can be cut into strips having the final width and, upon the removal of the protective layer, a sulphur- containing paper can be applied to the strip and the strip can subsequently be brought into the shape of the pack. According to the invention, this pack is heated for at least 1 hour to at least 40 degrees, during which heating the parts of the pack are pressed together, whereby the sulphur, in the protective layer, reacts with the rubber and thus the desired properties are obtained.L'invention porte sur un procédé de fabrication d'un pansement chirurgical auto-adhésif. Le pansement chirurgical est constitué d'un caoutchouc pourvu d'une couche de protection qui aura été retirée avant utilisation. Le caoutchouc adhère à lui-même et non à la peau. Un tel pansement chirurgical peut être obtenu, selon le mode de réalisation de l'invention, à partir de caoutchouc pourvu d'une couche de recouvrement. Une feuille d'un tel caoutchouc peut être coupée en bandes ayant la largeur finale et, lors du retrait de la couche de protection, un papier contenant du soufre peut être appliqué sur la bande, laquelle peut, par la suite, prendre la forme d'une compresse. Selon l'invention, cette compresse est chauffée pendant au moins 1 heure à au moins 40 degrés, chauffage durant lequel les parties de la compresses sont comprimées ensemble, permettant ainsi au soufre contenu dans la couche de protection de réagir avec le caoutchouc et, ainsi, d'obtenir les propriétés souhaitées.
