PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule endoscope system which automatically detects a lumen direction and advances to photograph an observation image.
SOLUTION: The capsule endoscope system includes a capsule endoscope which has imaging means to take an image in an endoscope inserted lumen and runs and moves receiving the effect of a magnetic field by a rotation magnetic field generated by a plurality of coils, and an image processor with a lumen direction detection part which inputs image data taken by the imaging means in the capsule endoscope and detects the direction of the lumen into which the capsule endoscope is inserted based on the image data. The capsule endoscope runs and moves receiving the magnetic field by the rotation magnetic field generated by the plurality of coils drive-controlled based on the lumen direction information.
