PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purifier capable of highly efficiently discharging ions generated in an ion generating section, achieving a shower mode for highly efficiently purifying air by an air purifying section, achieving low noise and contributing to energy saving.SOLUTION: The air purifier is alternately switched between a first air blow mode in which a first blower 13 has an air blow amount larger than a second blower 14 and a second air blow mode in which the second blower 14 has an air blow amount larger than the first blower 13. As this result, the shower mode is achieved which switches efficient air purification by the air purifying section 11 and efficient discharge of ions generated in the ion generating section 12. A noise due to the first blower 13 and the second blower 14, and power consumption of the first blower 13 and the second blower 14 are lower than those in a case that both the first and second blowers 13, 14 have a large air blow amount.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】イオン発生部で発生したイオンを効率よく放出し、また、空気浄化部による空気清浄を効率よく行なうシャワーモードを実現しつつ、静音化を図り、且つ省エネルギに寄与することができる空気清浄機を提供する。【解決手段】第1送風機13の送風量が第2送風機14の送風量より多い第1送風態様と第2送風機14の送風量が第1送風機13の送風量より多い第2送風態様とが交互に切り替えられる。この結果、空気浄化部11による空気の浄化が効率よく行なわれる場合と、イオン発生部12で発生したイオンの放出が効率よく行なわれる場合とが交互に繰り返されることによるシャワーモードが実現される。このときの第1送風機13及び第2送風機14に起因する騒音、並びに第1送風機13及び第2送風機14の消費電力は、何れも、第1送風機13及び第2送風機14の送風量が共に多い場合に比べて小さい。【選択図】図3
