PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acid hair dye composition enhanced in hair-dyeing power while being easy to suppress color fading after dyeing the hair, and easy to enhance color tone uniformity on finishing dyeing the hair.SOLUTION: The acid hair dye composition comprises (A) acid dye(s), i.e. at least one selected from Black No.401, Purple No.401 and Orange No.205 and (B) an alkylene glycol ester represented by general formula (1).
