The oxygen generator comprises a housing and a drug core provided in the housing, wherein the drug core can ignite and generate oxygen by a chemical reaction. The ignition mechanism provided in the housing ignites the drug core, and the collection mechanism provided in the housing collects the oxygen generated by the drug core. The ignition mechanism includes an ignition handle which is manipulable from the outside of the housing and can be rotated manually, an ignition member which is provided in the housing and which ignites the drug core when rotated to come into contact with the drug core .
