PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide transgenic fishes, and a method for detecting or quantitatively determining a detection object substance using the transgenic fishes.SOLUTION: The transgenic fishes include in a genome: a promotor that converts ligand-bound AhR/ARNT complex into a transcription factor necessary for starting the transcription and DNA for encoding a marker protein. The DNA for encoding the marker protein is under the control of the promotor, and the marker protein emits a visually detectable signal.
