A base plate for a receiving device for ostomy use, wherein the base plate comprises a cover layer on which the adhesive layer is located at least partially, a through hole extending axially through the plate, where the base plate further comprises an inner region that surrounds the through hole, and where the coating layer extends beyond the adhesive layer in the radial direction to the through hole, thereby forming an overlap. 2. The base plate according to claim 1, where at least part of the coating layer is a protective layer formed from a sheet material. The base plate according to claim 2, where the protective layer is made of a polyurethane film. The base plate according to claim 1, 2 or 3, where the coating layer in the inner region is foam. The base plate according to any one of claims 1 to 4, where the overlap is from 5 to 15 mm. 6. A base plate according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the adhesive layer comprises at least two different adhesives located radially relative to one another, and where the adhesive in the inner region is formed by a soft adhesive. A base plate according to claim 6, wherein the radial extent of the soft adhesive in the inner region is from 4 to 10 mm, preferably 5 mm. A base plate according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the adhesive layer in the inner region is swellable. A base plate according to any one of claims 4 to 8, wherein the foam is open cell foam. A base plate according to any one of claims 4 to 9, wherein the foam is a viscoelastic polyurethane foam.1.
