The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition that is intended for making up the skin, said cosmetic composition being a water-in-oil emulsion comprising: an oil phase comprising: - an emollient system comprising at least one plant ester - at least one light diffuser - at least one pigment and an aqueous phase. Said cosmetic composition can be used for uniformly making up the skin, and when applied completely covers the region of the skin, adheres well, minimizes excessive shine, results in a smooth, satiny and velvety application to the skin, among other desired advantages in such a product. The present invention also relates to a cosmetic product comprising said cosmetic composition.
