The invention provides acid addition salts of a basic therapeutic agent wherein the acid is represented by Formula I, R-X (I), wherein R is a haloalkyl group and X is -SO3H, C(O)OH or P(O)(OR1)(OH), where R1 is hydrogen or C1-C6-alkyl.
