PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottom member of a planter which can improved durability by reducing rotting and the generation of molds and the like of the lower side of the side wall of a planter having a wooden side wall, and to provide a planter excellent in durability using the bottom member.SOLUTION: A planter comprises a wooden side wall member 1 having a tubular shape of upper and lower openings, and a lower end receiving portion 32 which is made of synthetic resin and receives the lower end surface of the side wall member 1. A bottom member 2 comprises a lower face cover part having a ring shape in plan view, an outer wall cover part 4 connected to the lower surface cover part and arranged so as to cover the outer peripheral surface of the lower end part of the side wall member 1, and a bottom part 5 connected to the inside of the lower surface cover part and having a drain hole 61a.
