PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a stent delivery catheter and a stent attaching device, capable of appropriately securing the power to hold a stent on the surface of a balloon.SOLUTION: A stent delivery catheter includes a balloon 13 to be inflated or deflated using a fluid, and a stent 14 attached on the outer peripheral surface of the balloon 13. When the stent 14 is attached to the balloon 13, the stent 14 is first compressed by applying the compression force to the stent 14 disposed on the outer peripheral side of the balloon 13 from the outer peripheral side to be attached by pressure onto the outer peripheral surface of the balloon 13. After that, application of the compression force to the stent 14 is released. After releasing application of the compression force, the balloon 13 is pressurized by feeding the fluid to the balloon 13, and by pressing the pressurized balloon 13 onto the stent 14 from the inner peripheral side, the stent 14 is attached by pressure onto the outer peripheral surface of the balloon 13.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】バルーン表面上においてステントの保持力を好適に確保することができるステントデリバリカテーテルの製造方法及びステント取付装置を提供する。【解決手段】ステントデリバリカテーテルは、流体を利用して膨張又は収縮されるバルーン13と、バルーン13の外周面上に取り付けられたステント14とを備える。ステント14をバルーン13に取り付ける際には、まずバルーン13の外周側に配置したステント14に対してその外周側から圧縮力を付与することによりステント14を縮径させてバルーン13の外周面上に圧着する。その後、ステント14に対する圧縮力の付与を解除する。解除後、バルーン13に流体を供給して当該バルーン13を加圧しその加圧したバルーン13をステント14に対して内周側から押し付けることで、バルーン13の外周面上にステント14を圧着する。【選択図】 図5
