A hand held, home use, device for treatment of skin, comprising: a housing exhibiting an opening therein and forming an air cavity when the opening is placed in contact with the skin an incandescent type bulb secured within the housing and arranged to irradiate the skin with infra-red radiation and heat air within the formed air cavity, the incandescent type bulb exhibiting a filament and a control and driving circuitry in electrical communication with the incandescent type bulb and operative to output a train of pulses exhibiting an on time when current is driven through the filament and an off time when current is not driven through the filament, the off time greater than or equal to the on time, the off time being of a duration such that the infra-red radiation irradiating the skin falls, during the off time, to no less than 25% of its maximum value.Linvention concerne un dispositif de traitement cutané portatif, destiné à un usage domestique, comprenant : un logement comportant une ouverture et formant une cavité dair lorsque louverture est mise en contact avec la peau une ampoule de type à incandescence fixée à lintérieur du logement et disposée de sorte à irradier la peau au moyen dun rayonnement infrarouge et chauffer lair à lintérieur de la cavité dair formée, cette ampoule contenant un filament et un montage de circuits de commande et dentraînement en communication électrique avec lampoule et servant à émettre un train dimpulsions présentant une période de marche lorsque le courrant passe dans le filament et une période darrêt lorsque le courant ne passe pas dans le filament, la période darrêt étant supérieure ou égale à la période de marche, la période darrêt étant dune durée telle que lirradiation par rayonnement infrarouge de la peau diminue, pendant ladite période, jusquà un niveau non inférieur à 25% de sa valeur maximale.
