The present invention develops a simple, straight-forward, and rapid method to generate immunomodulatory cells from peripheral mononuclear cells, which comprises treating peripheral mononuclear cells with a hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) to induce differentiation of the peripheral mononuclear cells into immunomodulatory leukocytes. The present invention also provides an immunomodulatory cell prepared accordingly. The present invention further provides a method for treating a disease caused by abnormal immune response comprising administering a HGF to a patient subjecting the disease, inducing the patients peripheral mononuclear cells to differentiate into immunomodulatory leukocytes, and modulating the abnormal immune response.本發明係提供一種簡單、直接且迅速的方法以由周邊單核細胞產生免疫調節細胞,該方法包括:以肝細胞生長因子(HGF)處理周邊單核細胞,以誘發該周邊單核細胞分化成免疫調節性白血球。本發明亦提供一種以前述方法所製備之免疫調節細胞。本發明另提供一種治療由異常免疫反應所致疾病之方法,包括:對患有該疾病之病患投予肝細胞生長因子;誘發該病患之周邊單核細胞分化成免疫調節性白血球;及調節該異常免疫反應。
