PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus for preventing decrease in reliability of an apparatus.SOLUTION: A light source device 119 connected to an endoscope 111 has a first optical fiber 11 for transmitting light emitted by a light source 119a and a socket SO1 including a first GI fiber 24 which enlarges a beam diameter of the light transmitted by the first optical fiber 11 and collimates it. The endoscope 111 has: a second GI fiber 34 for converging light transmitted by the first GI fiber 16； temperature detection elements 40, 41 which have a connecter 129A including a second optical fiber 12 for transmitting light converged by the second GI fiber 34 to an end side of the endoscope 111, forms a space G between the first GI fiber 24 and the second GI fiber 34 in the state that the connector 129A is connected to the socket SO1, and detects temperature near the space G； and a control unit 121b for performing notification control for notifying that there is an alien substance in the space G on the basis of information detected by the temperature detection elements 40, 41.【課題】装置の信頼性の低下を防ぐ内視鏡装置を提供する。【解決手段】内視鏡１１１と接続される光源装置１１９は、光源１１９ａから出射される光を伝送する第１光ファイバ１１と、第１光ファイバ１１によって伝送された光のビーム径を拡大してコリメートする第１ＧＩファイバ２４を含むソケットＳＯ１を有し、内視鏡１１１は、第１ＧＩファイバ１６を伝送された光を収束させる第２ＧＩファイバ３４と、第２ＧＩファイバ３４により収束された光を内視鏡１１１の先端側に伝送する第２光ファイバ１２を含むコネクタ１２９Ａを有し、ソケットＳＯ１にコネクタ１２９Ａを接続した状態で、第１ＧＩファイバ２４と第２ＧＩファイバ３４との間には空間Ｇが形成され、空間Ｇ近傍の温度を検出する温度検出素子４０，４１と、温度検出素子４０，４１により検出される情報に基づいて、空間Ｇに異物があることを通知する通知制御を少なくとも行う制御部１２１ｂとを備える。【選択図】図２
