The present invention relates to a system and a method for detecting whether a vehicle occupant wears a seat belt properly by using a flexible pressure sensor and for providing an alarm when an error occurs. A system for sensing whether an occupant wears a safety belt properly by using a flexible pressure sensor according to the present invention includes: a flexible pressure sensor disposed on the inner side of a seat belt webbing a controller for processing a value sensed from the flexible pressure sensor into linear data to determine whether or not the occupant wears the seat belt properly and to transmit a control signal and an alarm unit that receives the control signal to provide a warning signal when the occupant wears the safety belt improperly.본 발명은 플렉시블 압력 센서를 이용하여 차량 탑승자가 안전 벨트를 정상적으로 착용하였는지 여부를 감지하고, 이상 발생 시 그에 대한 알람을 제공하는 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따른 플렉시블 압력 센서를 이용한 안전 벨트 정상 착용 감지 시스템은 안전벨트 웨빙 내측면에 배치되는 플렉시블 압력 센서와, 플렉시블 압력 센서로부터 센싱된 값을 선형 데이터로 가공하여 탑승자의 안전벨트 정상 착용 여부를 판단하고 제어 신호를 송신하는 제어부 및 제어 신호를 수신하여 안전벨트의 비정상 착용 상태에 대한 경고를 제공하는 알람부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
