PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper having an improved fitting property to the back of a wearer and providing a superior wearing property and leakage prevention property.
SOLUTION: This disposable diaper 1 includes a back-side section A having a fastening tape 5, a crotch section B, and a lumbar-side section C having a landing tape 6 for fixing the fastening tape, and the back-side section A is formed with tuck sections 9 and 9 extending toward a direction from a waist end edge 11 to the crotch section B. The tuck sections 9 and 9 are formed by folding part of the diaper and joining faces facing to each other at portions of the folded parts. Portions having a predetermined width from the waist end edge 11, of the tuck sections 9 and 9 are defined as non-fixed sections 92 not joined with the faces facing to each other.
