PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neutron capture therapy system that makes it possible to know whether the inside of a neutron irradiation object is irradiated with neutron according to a therapeutic plan.SOLUTION: In a neutron capture therapy system 1, a neutron flux distribution calculating unit 61 can calculate a neutron flux distribution in a patient S on the basis of: distribution data that is stored in a storage unit 64 and shows a distribution of hydrogen atoms or nitrogen atoms at an affected region of the patient S and gamma-ray distribution data that is detected by a gamma ray detecting unit 50. The neutron flux distribution calculating unit 61 can calculate the neutron flux distribution on a real-time basis since the gamma ray detecting unit 50 can detect a gamma ray G on a real-time basis. Thereby, a comparison between the calculation result and the neutron flux distribution relating to a therapeutic plan makes it possible to know whether the inside of a patient is irradiated with neutron according to the therapeutic plan.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
