PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus which satisfies needs for a wide variety of observations without doing frequent switching operations or cumbersome operations.SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus includes: an imaging unit (110) for imaging a body to be observed and generating color imaging signal a normal image generation unit (102B) for applying normal image processing to the imaging signal and generating a normal image a spectral image generation unit (102A) for applying a matrix operation to the imaging signal obtained by the imaging unit and generating a spectral image an observation monitor (42) for displaying a main screen region (162) and a sub screen region (164) having a size smaller than the main screen region and an operation unit (130) for generating the switching signals of the display contents of the main screen region and the sub screen region.
