The assembly includes a planter pot 20 having sides 30 and a base 31, where the sides and the base are connected to each other such that to accommodate topsoil 28, a divider disc 22, located inside the planter pot 20 to create a reservoir 26, where the divider disc separates the reservoir 26 and the topsoil 28 and a watering pipe assembly 24, where the watering pipe assembly 24 is an integrated assembly which includes a water level indicator 34 to indicate water level of the reservoir 26, a funnel 38 to facilitate liquid supply to the reservoir 26 and a lid 36 to cover the funnel 38 top entry, wherein the watering pipe assembly 24 is detachably coupled to the divider disc 22 to form the self-watering planter assembly 10.
