The invention relates to a composition comprising chlorhexidine or a soluble salt thereof and sodium docusate (DOSS) in a molar ratio chlorhexidine or a soluble salt thereof / sodium docusate equal to 1/2, in a hydroalcoholic vehicle comprising from 40 to 50% alcohol (v / v) relative to the total volume of the composition. Les compositions selon l'invention ont l'avantage de prolonger l'activité antimicrobienne de la CHX après utilisation (amélioration de la rémanence) et de réduire le phénomène de noircissement au niveau de la cavité orale.
