PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preliminary seedling storage structure for rice transplanter, with which seedling supply operation to a seedling-placing base, by the driving operator and seedling supplement operation, from levee to the preliminary seedling-placing base, can be carried out in a facile and easy manner.SOLUTION: A preliminary seedling-placing base 8, capable of loading nursery boxes 24 in a plurality of stages, are arranged in an erect standing condition on the front horizontal side of a traveling machine body 3 and a nursery box holder 50 for storing a plurality of nursery boxes 24, where seedlings have been taken out and the boxes have become empty, is installed in the vicinity of the preliminary seedling-placing base 8.
