PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmograph capable of optimizing pushing pressure by providing a contact part at an intelligible position.SOLUTION: A sphygmograph (1) includes: a light irradiation unit (3) for applying light to a site (25) of a human body a light receiving unit (5) for receiving reflected light as light reflected from the site or transmission light as light transmitting trough the site pulse wave measuring unit (7) for measuring pulse waves on the basis of the reflected light or the transmission light and a contact part (15) with which the site comes into contact during measurement of the pulse waves.
