CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for treating acne contains Rhus verniciflua extract. The Rhus verniciflua extract contains 0.5-3.0 weight% of kaempferol glycoside. A method for preparing the Rhus verniciflua extract comprises: a step of fermenting and maturing Rhus verniciflua； a step of drying the Rhus verniciflua； a step of steaming Rhus verniciflua with an extraction solvent； and a step of maturing and filtering the extract. The Rhus verniciflua extract is prepared using solution containing 0.01-60 weight% of alcohol, glycerin, alkylene glycol, benzene, chloroform, hexane, or acetone, or water.
