A Doppler waveform is composed of a plurality of luminance distributions 54 arranged on the time axis. In each luminance distribution 54, the minimum luminance value existing in the valley 54c between the attention portion 54a and the folded portion 54b is specified. The search start point Pn is set based on this. The trace point 60 is specified by performing a search from the search start point Pn to the baseline 61 side.
