The present invention relates to a breast volume measuring apparatus and a mammography apparatus using the same. The breast volume measuring apparatus includes a pressure module which controls at least one among a paddle and an image receptor assembly to press a breast, a measurement module which measures a breast volume by corresponding to a gap between the paddle and the image receptor assembly when a pressing force generated by the pressure module reaches a first value, a lookup table which stores breast volume information according to unit gaps, and an output module which extracts the breast volume information from the lookup table by using the unit gap and the breast volume measured by the measurement module.본 발명은 유방두께 측정장치 및 그를 이용한 맘모그래피 장치에 관한 것으로, 유방두께 측정장치는 패들과 이미지리셉터어셈블리 중 적어도 하나를 제어하여 유방을 압박하는 압박모듈, 압박모듈에 의해 발생된 압박력이 제1값에 도달되면, 패들과 이미지리셉터어셈블리의 간격에 대응하여 유방 두께를 측정하는 측정모듈, 복수의 단위 간격 별로 유방 두께 정보를 저장하는 룩업테이블 및 측정모듈에서 측정한 유방두께와 단위 간격을 이용하여 룩업테이블로부터 유방두께 정보를 추출하고 출력하는 출력모듈을 포함할 수 있다.
