Disclosed herein is a cosmetic composition containing a bio-cellulose powder and a method for producing the same. By using the bio-cellulose powder, the cosmetic composition containing the bio-cellulose powder as one aspect of the present invention can maximize the effect of the plant extract. Further, by using the specific natural product-derived thickening agent, the composition can improve the formulation stability and the skin adhesion of the composition containing the bio-cellulose powder.
