PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a destructive animal-intrusion preventing device having a high destructive animal-intrusion preventing effect by arranging joints of a grating member with U-shaped groove members zigzag.SOLUTION: In a destructive animal-intrusion preventing device 80, a side raised portion 42 to which a grating member 30 is fitted is formed only on a road side (pavement stopping side), and the short side of the grating member 30 is formed in a shape such that a honeycomb-like opening is cut at an intermediate position. Thus, most of the upper surface area of the destructive animal-intrusion preventing device 80 is substantially composed of the same honeycomb openings, and a high destructive animal-intrusion preventing effect can be obtained. Since the joints 36 of the grating member 30 with U-shaped groove members 40a, 40b are arranged zigzag, a destructive animal can hardly recognize such a joint 36 as a foothold, and the destructive animal-intrusion preventing effect can be further enhanced.
