PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can measure the percentage content of fat of a liver without extending the design scale of hardware.SOLUTION: A measurement device 100 comprises: a contact unit 10 which supplies an ultrasonic signal to a portion of a body and receives a response signal passing through the portion of the body； a measurement unit 30 which is connected to the contact unit and measures the characteristics of the portion of the body on the basis of a response signal received by the contact unit； and a switch part 20 which switches whether to connect the contact unit to the measurement unit or to an image generation device 300 for generating an image of a region including the portion of the body in accordance with scanning of the contact unit in the region.
