To provide a device for attracting and trapping insects easily fixable ON the soil and good in handleability despite being of a simple structure.
SOLUTION: The device 1 for attracting and trapping insects includes: a cup-shaped container body 2 with an opening an insecticide 11 contained in the container body 2 and containing an attractive ingredient and an insecticidal ingredient for a defined kind of insects and a capping material 3 detachably fitted in the container body 2 wherein the capping material 3 includes: a diffusive part 4 covering the opening when the capping material 3 is fitted in the container body 2 and functioning to diffuse the ingredients contained in the insecticide 11 a leg part 6 extended outside the diffusive part 4 and insertable into the soil and a circular frame 13 fitted in the container body 2 so as to be in close contact with the inner surface of the opening of the container body 2.
