PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypeptide having at least one IgG Fc region and having higher anti-inflammatory activity and lower cytotoxicity as compared with a crude antibody, and a method for producing such a polypeptide. SOLUTION: A composition containing IVIG is treated with an α-(2,6)sialyltransferase and a donor of sialic acid to form α-(2,6)-linked N-acetylneu on N-glycans in the Fc region. Providing a composition comprising modified IVIG having an increased anti-inflammatory activity as compared to said IVIG by increasing the fraction in the composition of IVIG having laminic acid.
