A needle guide for use in percutaneous lung biopsy procedures includes a cup that can be affixed in air-tight engagement to the patients skin around the incision. The cup includes a hub adapted to receive an introducer or biopsy needle in sealed engagement as the needle is advanced into the incision. The cup may be transparent to allow visualization of the incision to facilitate navigation of the needle into the incision. The needle guide is further provided with a fluid tube for engagement with a syringe operable to draw a slight vacuum within the cup to thereby prevent infiltration of air into the incision during the biopsy procedure.
