The present disclosure is directed to a testing systems and methods fortesting a poweredsurgical instrument. The powered surgical instrument includes a processorconfigured to controloperation of the powered surgical instrument, a memory configured to store atissue compressionprogram, a reload configured to clamp tissue, a motor configured to controlthe reload to apply acompressive force to the tissue by the reload, and at least one sensorconfigured to measure acurrent draw on the motor. The processor executes the simulation program tomeasure thecurrent draw on the motor through a nominal thickness firing and the measuredcurrent draw isused to adjust the tissue compression program.
