The invention further relates to the use of the dietary supplement for preparing the digestive system of a subject in advance of a weight loss program and to a dietary supplement for use in a method of treating obesity, low-grade inflammation, diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), metabolic endotoxemia, metabolic syndrome and/or impaired glucose tolerance in a subject.
