The present invention relates to sensor systems for electronic ophthalmic devices. According to embodiments of the present invention, the sensor systems comprise: a first electrode composed to be selectively overlaid by one or more of an upper eyelid and a lower eyelid of a user； a second electrode composed to be selectively overlaid by one or more of the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid of the user； and a system controller cooperatively connected to the first electrode and the second electrode to receive a capacitance measured value therefrom.
