PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for changing brain waves are provided to select a sound which optimally reacts to the brain wave of a user.CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for changing brain waves comprises a brain wave measuring part(100), a sound selecting part(200), and a care part(300). The brain wave measuring part measures the brain wave of a user reacting to a sound output through a head set. The sound selecting part selects a sound which is finally matched with the brain wave by analyzing the measured sound wave.
