The present invention relates to a bone cement composition and a method for producing the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a bone cement composition containing caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) and to a method for producing the same, wherein the bone cement composition contains CAPE, which is known to have antibacterial properties as the active ingredient of propolis, as an antibacterial component and a polymerization inhibitor. The bone cement composition containing CAPE according to the present invention can prevent the generation of fungi which are the cause of secondary infection during a surgery without using a separate antibiotic by containing CAPE which is an active ingredient of natural propolis whose stability-related issues for reversal mutation, which can occur during human in vivo administration, and micronucleus tests have been confirmed and which has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. Moreover, CAPE serves as a polymerization inhibitor so that the bone cement composition can be appropriately by ensuring good flowability and proper setting time without using a separate polymerization inhibitor which may cause side effects.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014본 발명은 골 시멘트 조성물 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 프로폴리스의 활동성분으로 항균력이 있다고 알려져 있는 카페인산 페네틸 에스테르(caffeic acid phenethyl ester, CAPE)를 항균 성분 및 중합금지제로서 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 카페인산 페네틸 에스테르 함유 골 시멘트 조성물 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의한 카페인산 페네틸 에스테르 함유 항균 골 시멘트 조성물은 인체 내에 투여 시 발생할 수 있는 복귀돌연변이, 소핵시험 등의 안정성 문제가 확인된 항균, 항염 효과가 있는 천연 프로폴리스의 활동 성분인 카페인산 페네틸 에스테르를 함유함으로써 별도의 항생제를 사용하지 않고도 수술시 발생되는 이차감염의 요인인 균류 발생을 방지할 수 있으며, 또한, 카페인산 페네틸 에스테르가 중합금지제 기능을 하기 때문에 부작용이 문제가 되고 있는 중합금지제를 별도로 사용하지 않고도 흐름성이 좋고 적절한 세팅 시간을 가져 사용에 적합한 골 시멘트 조성물을 제공할 수 있다.
