PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for reanimation of a patient, with which efficacious cardiopulmonary resuscitation treatment of the patient is achieved and which is also simple to operate.SOLUTION: A holding device 5, which is supported 32 on a pillar or on two pillars which can be attached to a reanimation board on which the patient lies, and includes a vertically adjustable cross-member 31, supports a drive means and a plunger which is driven by the drive means to perform a compressive massage on the patients body.
