PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeding stuff which can increase a gain in a young chick period of egg-laying hens, and a method of increasing the gain in the young chick period.SOLUTION: The feeding stuff for egg-laying hens is a pellet formed by pressing a feedstuff material including ground product of chaff and/or rough rice. The feeding stuff for a feeding period includes ground product of chaff and/or rough rice. The feeding stuff may be used for increasing a gain in a young chick period or preventing a pecking action. A method of increasing a gain of the egg-laying hens, a method of improving egg productivity, a method of improving a breeding environment of the egg-laying hens, and a method of improving bacterial flora in the intestinal tract of the eff-laying hens are characterized in supplying the feeding stuff for the egg-laying hens or the feeding stuff for the feeding period in the young chick period.【課題】 採卵鶏の幼雛期の増体向上の可能な飼料及び幼雛期の増体向上方法を提供すること。【解決手段】 もみ殻及び／又はもみ米の粉砕物含有の飼料原料をペレットにした採卵鶏用飼料；もみ殻及び／又はもみ米の粉砕物を含有する餌付期用飼料；前記飼料は幼雛期増体向上用又はツツキ行動抑制用としてもよい。；前記採卵鶏用飼料又は前記餌付期用飼料を、幼雛期に給与する採卵鶏の増体向上方法、卵の生産性向上方法、採卵鶏の飼育環境の改善方法又は採卵鶏の腸管内細菌叢の改善方法。【選択図】なし
