PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil amendment material production method and a soil amendment material capable of achieving novel cultivation easily and simply and securing harvesting.SOLUTION: The soil amendment material production method is characterized by the steps of: pounding a montmorillonite (S1) which is prepared for making the montmorillonite minute (S2)； making the montmorillonite which is made minute a slurry-state (S2)； and compressing and spraying the slurry-state montmorillonite to a vegetable carrier for being carried by the vegetable carrier (S4). The soil amendment material is characterized in that, the montmorillonite which is made minute is carried by the vegetable carrier, in which the vegetable carrier is one kind or more kinds selected from for example, coconut peat, peat-mos, grounds of brewed coffee, drought rice straw, drought barley straw and rice full.【課題】 簡単且つ容易に新たな耕作を可能にするとともに収穫を確実にする土壌改良材の製造方法及び土壌改良材を提供する。【解決手段】 土壌改良材の製造方法は、準備したモンモリロナイト（Ｓ１）を磨り潰して微細化し（Ｓ２）、微細化したモンモリロナイトをスラリー状とし（Ｓ２）、スラリー状としたモンモリロナイトを植物性担体に加圧噴霧することにより植物性担体に担持させる（Ｓ４）、ことを特徴とし、土壌改良材は、植物性担体、例えば、ココナッツピート、ピートモス、コーヒー焙煎かす、乾燥稲わら、乾燥麦わら、籾殻から選ばれる何れか１種以上に微細化したモンモリロナイトを微細化したモンモリロナイトを植物性担体に担持させたことを特徴とする。【選択図】図１
