Methods and systems for dry eye analysis using terahertz (THz) radiation. The method includes projecting a THz wave onto a surface of an eye and detecting a reflected wave being a reflection of the THz wave reflected from the surface of the eye. The method further includes analysing properties of the eye in response to the THz wave reflected from the surface of the eye, the properties of the eye including thickness of the eye's cornea and ambient tissues, and analyzing the properties of the eye comprises measuring the thickness of the cornea and/or the ambient tissues and/or measuring an amount of chemical components of one or more of the eye's layers.L'invention concerne des méthodes et des systèmes d'analyse du syndrome de l'œil sec faisant appel à un rayonnement térahertz (THz). La méthode consiste à projeter une onde THz sur une surface d'un œil et à détecter une onde réfléchie qui représente une réflexion de l'onde THz réfléchie par la surface de l'œil. La méthode consiste en outre à analyser des propriétés de l'œil en réponse à l'onde THz réfléchie par la surface de l'œil, les propriétés de l'œil comprenant l'épaisseur de la cornée de l'œil et des tissus environnants, et l'analyse des propriétés de l'œil consiste à mesurer l'épaisseur de la cornée et/ou des tissus environnants et/ou à mesurer une quantité de constituants chimiques d'une ou plusieurs des couches de l'œil.
