The present invention relates to a method for detecting and removing rhabdovirus from a cell line. The present disclosure relates to compositions, methods, mixtures and kits for detecting the presence of a virus from a product produced in an insect cell and removing the virus from a product produced in an insect cell. The present disclosure also relates to proteins, peptides, polypeptides, drug substances, biological products, vaccine antigens, and virus-like particles produced in insect cells that are free or substantially free of virus. The present disclosure also relates to compositions, methods, assays and kits for detecting rhabdovirus in a sample.
