PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction apparatus which can suppress variation of a gas amount in an abdominal cavity even if liquid in the abdominal cavity is suctioned together with gas.SOLUTION: The device for suctioning gas and/or liquid in an abdominal cavity includes: suction means 2 inserted into the abdominal cavity pressure difference generation means 6 communicated with the suction means 2 and capable of generating a lower pressure than inside of the abdominal cavity in the suction means 2 gas/liquid separation means 5 arranged between the pressure difference generation means 6 and the suction means 2 and gas return means 7 returning the gas separated by the gas/liquid separation means 5 into the abdominal cavity. Even when the liquid is suctioned from the abdominal cavity together with the gas, a gas amount in the abdominal cavity can be kept in the same generally.
