Disclosed herein is a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention and treatment of eye diseases. More specifically, a composition containing a peptide derived from telomerase, which is effective for the treatment and prevention of eye diseases, is disclosed. The disclosed peptide, or a peptide having a sequence having 80% homology with the above sequence or a fragment thereof has an excellent effect in the treatment of eye diseases.
