PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation base so designed as to not cause undesirable influence on the growth of plants or emit malodor through using obsidian or obsidian perlite for purifying stored water to prevent deterioration of the water over a long period of time. SOLUTION: This vegetation base has a vegetation base palette 3 (a water storage part), and the obsidian 9 is housed in the vegetation base palette 3 while separated from the soil.
