PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for ameliorating an itchy feeling on the skin, particularly a hyperesthetic itchy feeling.SOLUTION: The skin care preparation for external use comprises 0.3-5 wt.% of a local anesthetic (lidocaine or the like), 3-20 wt.% of urea, 3-11 wt.% of a cool-feeling agent (menthol, camphor or the like), 12-40 wt.% of a lower alcohol (ethanol, absolute ethanol or the like), and water.
