PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sauna apparatus wherein dirty water is not stored in a water storage part before starting a sauna operation.SOLUTION: The sauna apparatus includes the water storage part 6 for storing water, a heating means 9 for heating the water in the water storage part 6, a water supply pipe 7 for supplying the water to the water storage part 6, a water supply valve 8 provided in the middle of the water supply pipe 7, a water discharge pipe 12 connected to the bottom part of the water storage part 6 and a water discharge valve 13 provided in the middle of the water discharge pipe 12, and performs the sauna operation of supplying fine droplets and negative ions into a sauna room 2. The sauna apparatus is provided with an operation switch 56 for instructing the operation start and stop of the sauna apparatus and a control means 61 for controlling the sauna apparatus. When the operation start of the sauna apparatus is instructed, the control means 61 opens the water discharge valve 13, then opens the water supply valve 8, supplies the water to the water storage part 6, cleans the water storage part 6, and starts the sauna operation thereafter.
