A device for use in collecting sputum which is used for inspection and a method for using the same, which relate to the technical field of medicine, comprising: a base chamber (1), an inner center of the base chamber (1) being provided with a fixed shaft (2), and an upper part of the fixed shaft (2) being provided with a rotating shaft (3), while the rotating shaft (3) is provided thereon with a turntable (4) a notch (8) which places a sputum cup (9) is provided on the periphery of the turntable (4), and an upper side of the turntable (4) is provided with a lid (10) a placement slot (11) is provided along the periphery of the base chamber (1), and a placement rod (12) which cooperates with the placement slot (11) is provided along the periphery of the lid (10) the lid (10) is provided thereon with a liquid discharge opening, the lid (10) further being provided thereon with a cup cover placement opening, and the cup cover placement opening being provided therein with a cup cover placement cylinder (14) an upper end of the fixed shaft (2) is provided with a rotating disc (15), and a spring (22) is provided under the lid (10), a lower side of the spring (22) being provided with a pressure plate (23) the base chamber (1) is provided therein with a battery (24), and a drive motor I (6) and a drive motor II (20) are electrically connected to the battery (24).
